Parent Responsibilities

Teaching Credit Requirements

Members will accumulate 1 Teaching credit per co-op year.

Choosing any of the following teaching options will earn the minimum requirement of 1 teaching credits:

1.       Teach 1 classes (1 quarter total)

2.       Co-teach 2 classes*

*Each class that is co-taught is equal to 1/2 of a credit.

Families new to co-op are not required to teach their first year.

Other Duties

​

Parents are also assigned as:

• A parent helper in classrooms, we always have two adults in every class.

• Cleaning duties such as vacuuming, wiping tables, sweeping, taking out garbage etc... We strive to leave our facility cleaner than we found it.

• A nursery worker. Parents who have nursery age children take a shift.
